1. How to become a client

What must I do to in order to become a client?

The easiest way to become a Transhotel client is to apply via the NEW AGENCY option, which is found below the login area at www.transhotel.com. Once we have verified your details, we will send you the access codes for the TOR System Advanced online reservations platform.

When will I receive my access codes?

They will be sent to you within a maximum of 48 hours (once we have received your details).

Do I need to provide a deposit or any guarantee in order to start operating?

No, you may start operating immediately with the details we provide you with. Agencies are accepted on a pre-payment basis. Reservations must be paid for in advance.


2. Payment methods

What are the payment methods I can offer my clients?

Transhotel currently offers 2 methods of payment:

  • Payment made in agency: The agent provides clients with the voucher for the service booked. The clients do not need to pay the service provider (hotel, theme park, ski station, etc). Payment is done by Transhotel.
  • Payment directly to hotel: With this method the client pays the hotel directly at the end of stay.
    The client’s credit card is required during the reservations process as a guarantee (for issues related to no-show, etc). Through the Booking Express brand, Transhotel guarantees the commission for sale.

Can I make bank transfers?

Payments can be made by bank transfer within countries where we hold a bank account. If not, payment transfers can be made to our bank accounts within Spain.

We also offer an arranged transfer payment option within some countries. For more information, please contact your local Transhotel branch or via the e-mail addresses stated below.

Which credit cards are accepted?

VISA, MASTER CARD, DINERS and in some countries, AMEX.

When paying by credit card, is the payment immediate?

Booking Express payment charge is not immediate. Payment is made after client checks out. However, if using the Transhotel payment method, the credit card will be charged when the reservation is confirmed.

Is it possible to establish a line of credit? What are the conditions of payment?

A line of credit may be applied for with Transhotel. We will request a financial report for your agency, we will then advise you with regard to the easiest and fastest way to start operating on a credit basis. Payment conditions are negotiated on an individual basis.

3. Products

Which products are marketed by Transhotel?

The Transhotel portfolio consists of:

  • 60,000 hotels of all categories worldwide.
  • Transfers and Services (tours, routes, activities) in more than 120 countries.
  • Flights with traditional airlines for the European and American markets (soon for Asian markets) via the TOR System Advanced application.
  • Tickets for theme parks throughout Europe & America.
  • Travel Insurance
  • Car Hire

What are Transhotel’s main markets?

Transhotel’s product portfolio is worldwide, always offering competitive alternatives within all main destinations, these being holiday and city based hotels as well as other services.

Transhotel and GDS offer - what are the differences?

Transhotel offers the following:

a) an important portfolio of independent establishments.

b) Transhotel operates with Merchant (reservation and payment in the travel agency).

c) The TOR System Advanced is a user-friendly online reservations platform which does not require any previous training for users. As well as reserving a hotel for your client, the system also allows you to reserve a large number of products and services.

Are there any restrictions or categories with regard to the product portfolio?

No. Transhotel offers a range of 2 to 5 star establishments without restrictions. The only condition is that all establishments must abide by the standards and levels of quality which are required by Transhotel.

Will I receive offers & promotions? In which language?

Your contact e-mail address will be included within the distributional list of all communications which are sent by Transhotel. You will receive these notifications on a regular basis in the language which you have chosen for your agency.



4. Customer Service

Who may I contact with queries regarding sales conditions, system operatives and administration etc...?

Depending on your agency’s location, you may contact the corresponding local Sales Support Team who will advise you on where to direct your query. Additionally, you may also contact our main offices in Madrid.

Do my clients have assistance in the event of any possible situations regarding their reservation when my agency is closed?

Transhotel offers a Customer Service Line which is attended 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year: + 34 91 268 24 24.

Is the TOR System Advanced offered in my language?

The application is available in the following 14 languages: Spanish, English, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Danish, Norwegian, Croatian, Greek, Flemish, Swedish, Polish and Chinese.
